Central Queensland’s Anna Farquhar sings heartfelt tales of love, loss and everything in between. Inspired by the likes of Missy Higgins, Amy Shark and Fleetwood Mac to name just a few, Anna puts her own spin on the pop rock genre. She is unapologetically honest in her song writing; unafraid to tell the truth, her music is direct, and she wears her heart on her sleeve. Anna has an outpouring of passion that radiates from her every time she performs, which draws in the audience and leaves them wanting more.
Anna has opened for the likes of Bubsy Marou, Sara Storer, Diesel, Shannon Noll and Hoodoo Gurus. Anna has performed at Tamworth Country Music Festival (2017, 2018, 2019), Gigs and Digs (2017), Country on Keppel (2019, 2020), Yeppoon Village Festival (2019), VDMFest (2018, 2019) and will perform at Music is Life (July 2021).
Although 2020 was a year of lows, Anna climbed to new heights and fought hard to keep her music alive with release of new singles. “Boy” was released March 30th, debuting at #22 on the Alternative Charts and topping out at #5. Next was the release of “Again” which surpassed her last release and debut at #1 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Charts. This milestone was a significant feat for this up-and-coming artist, and a sign of bigger things to come.
Going forward, she has new music coming out this year, which she is excited to share with the world. Keep an ear to the ground.
Keep updated on upcoming gigs!
