Anna Farquhar is a Central Queensland artist whose honest songwriting and captivating voice have been steadily earning her a place in Australia’s music scene for over a decade. With roots in acoustic, country, and contemporary storytelling, Anna’s songs speak to real life—raw, emotional, and unapologetically human.
What sets Anna apart is her ability to truly connect. Whether she’s performing on a festival stage or in a small-town hall, there’s an authenticity to her voice and her presence that draws people in. She’s not afraid to be vulnerable or say what others won’t—and that honesty has resonated with audiences from all walks of life.
Anna has had the privilege of opening for some of Australia’s most respected acts, including Busby Marou, Sara Storer, Diesel, Shannon Noll, Neil Murray, and Rick Price, and her name has appeared on festival line-ups including Tamworth Country Music Festival, Country on Keppel, Yeppoon Village Festival, VDMFest, and most recently, the Gympie Music Muster.
Releasing two original singles marked a major step forward in her career. “Boy” reached #5 on the iTunes Alternative Charts, while follow-up track “Again” debuted at #1 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Charts. After this, her song “To You From Me” was chosen out of 10,000 entries to become a finalist in the Unsigned Only International Songwriting Competition. These achievements, while exciting, were just the beginning of a new chapter for Anna as a recording artist and songwriter.
With more music on the way and a strong connection to her regional roots, Anna continues to grow her audience through heartfelt lyrics, genuine performance, and a deep love for her craft. She’s an artist with something to say—and she’s only just getting started.
